Background: On a basis of a resolution taken in the Meeting of the Executive Committee of AICCG held on February 28, 2007, that an Annual Oration in memory of the Founder-Secretary and Convener of AICCG, G.K. Manna, be organized, the family of G.K. Manna was approached. The family provided consent to holding the G.K. Manna Memorial Oration annually, and decided to donate an honorarium and a memento to the person chosen by AICCG to deliver the annual oration.
